These new controllers feel great all around. You wouldn't think that a controller could improve much from the Xbox 360 but Microsoft figured it out. The sticks feel lighter and are much more responsive. The bumpers are positioned slightly differently which is nice in my opinion because to press them, I simply roll my finger up so I don't have to literally pick my finger up off the triggers to press them. The other buttons feel great as well. Another huge improvement is the grip on the sticks. The grip seems to last much longer and feels better than the older controllers. The plastic where your hands go feels very nice as well, it doesn't feel too slippery, even after hours of gameplay. The infared feature is nice too, the Xbox One can see who is playing depending on who is holding the controller. My favorite improvement would have to be the triggers with the new rumble feature. That improves the feel of the game 10-fold in my opinion. Its great to be playing a game like forza, slightly drifting off the track on the right or left side and the triggers will rumble accordingly making you feel more connected to the car in the game. The rumble changes according to what weapon you use in FPS too. I still have a couple Xbox 360's, when I play games on them such as halo, the controllers feel heavy and non-responsive compared to these new ones.
Charge/reliability
I bought the Nyko charge base which came with 2 rechargeable batteries, they last a very long time, much longer than the previous Xbox 360 controllers. I have put many hours into these controllers and so far they work just as well as they did the day I got them.
Look
These new controllers sure look slick. They center Xbox One logo has a very cool looking lumination that looks chrome when the light is off. The A,B,X, and Y buttons are one of the best looking features of the controller having a 3D inlay. The rest of the controller looks fantasic as well, with gloss and dull black plastic fused together, it looks agressive.
The thumbsticks are more rigid, solid, and less slippery than before. The triggers feel good, though the bumper’s new clicky design I like slightly less. It’s weird to not have a start and option button, instead two strange symbols adorn the controller where they’d normally be. The d-pad is a big improvement as well, though it does have a cheap plasticy feel to it.
The biggest change to the controller isn’t the most obvious one. It’s the inclusion of rumble into the triggers themselves. It’s damn amazing. You’ll feel tires slip and grip in Forza 5 or you’ll feel the band of the bow as you release an arrow in Ryse. It’s similar to old school PC gaming force feedback, but not as pronounced and definitely more detailed.
I like the Xbox One controller a bit more than the original Xbox 360, though I do feel at times my hands get fatigued faster.
I don't care for the changes made to the triggers/bumpers. The triggers are slightly more difficult to use without accidentally tapping one of the bumpers, a problem I never had with the 360. I'm also disappointed with the new form factor of the controller. Compared to the 360 controller, the One controller is more angular, boxy, and less svelte overall.
Ultimately, I'm torn between the two. The 360 wired controller is still my daily driver on PC, but I switch over to the One if heavy use of the D-pad is involved. All that being said, I still prefer the One over things like standard Logitech or PS3 controllers. I'll update this review in the future if I ever sit down with a PS4 controller.

SO I bought this controller crossing my fingers that Microsoft would have fixed the issue...AND THEY DID.
No more issues with the controller I can play anything and never have to worry about faulty drivers or the low quality of the device.
Now the Next Gen Controllers look and feel like a true winner. I have some minor gripes with it, mainly the weird thumb-stick covers but you can get cheap covers for a buck online so other then that the Triggers are significantly better giving the user more space to maneuver.
The D-Pad has been completely redesigned and I can tell you even if you dont think it will make a difference simply moving through windows or inventory screens has become a dream.
Weird not having a Start and Select button but tis the future so might as well have some random icons.
I wish they would remove the XBox branding and leave it as a Microsoft Product. Same goes for the consoles Microsoft One sounds a hell of a lot better than Xbox One.
So I ordered the Xbox One controller when I saw that pc drivers have been released and it can be used on the pc by plugging in my phone's micro usb cable. Got the delivery from Amazon. The box pack was sealed by the seller i.e. Cloud Tail, but the official Microsoft seal was not there. Do not know if they put a seal or not. The packaging was not good at all. Only a cardboard cutting holding up the box sealed with tape.
The xbox 360 controller was nice and very sturdy. But somehow Microsoft managed to make it better in Xbox one controller. I do not know about the sturdy part as I have not tested it by dropping it, but Microsoft claims that hopefully the controller will last a decade (you can look this up in google).
Regarding the controller, it is really nice. The matte feel is really nice and the thumbsticks are really beautiful to use. The white glowing xbox logo looks very elegant. The d-pad is really an improvement over the 360's. The trigger buttons are good really easy to press and very responsive, though you will not be able to feel the triggers rumble as no pc games support the rumbling as of now. The shoulder buttons are very big and it is easier to press it at the outside edge than on the inside edge. No protruding battery case to stop you from gripping your controller very tightly. The size is also perfect. It doesn't feel either too big or too small.
Overall very satisfied with the product and looking forward to many hours of gaming with it.
I will buy another one if Microsoft decides to sell separately the White Xbox One controller (Sunset Overdrive version)
through Amazon in India. That controller and the console are just fabulous. No console nor any controller ever looked so good.
Happy gaming!
